a gust of wind, blowing
thoughts of yesterday into
my already crowded mind-
replacing today's list of
"go here" and "do this"
with "remember when"
we had nowhere to go
and nothing to do
but feel on our faces
a gust of wind, blowing.

ReplyDeleteExcellent poem and a very important message!
I have always enjoyed poems mentioning the wind.
My favorite quote from a poet from Wales:
I turned my head and saw the wind,
Not far from where I stood,
Dragging the corn by her golden hair,
Into a dark and lonely wood.
