Thanks everyone! :) Yes, I am PREGNANT! That was my "secret" in my piece about the crescent moon. :) Good job, Sandy!!! Baby #2 is due March 15th, which is eight days after Allie's fifth birthday. We are so blessed.
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.

Again you paint a masterpiece with so few words. You have such a sweet gift.
