Sandy, yes, I did! The heat was unbelievable there for a bit. :) Adelaide, glad to know I'd have a friend there. :) Paul, your kind words always mean so much! Thank you, friend!!!
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.

I love this so much, cerulean waves and distant shores, did it take my comment along?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lorraine! This is the only comment that I saw. Sorry if there was another that got lost!
ReplyDeleteI will bet you did a lot of dreaming of cerulean waves while you were dealing with that heat. This poem sends me to that distand shore.
ReplyDeleteNow, that's a cool place where I'd like to spend an afternoon.
