It's too hot to even write poetry. My brain is melting. :) I believe we either tied or broke the record for the hottest recorded day here. 114 degrees!!!
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.

Thank you, Sandy! Pray for rain!!! I know the farmers are desperate! There have been several grass fires, too. Very dangerous! Thanks so much!
