- I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a teacher, a singer,and an overall music lover. I am happily married to the love of my life. He is a police officer and has an amazing heart for serving others. We have a beautiful three-year-old daughter who is vibrant, determined, and articulate. She's also a nature-lover. I am blessed beyond what I deserve. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this. "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1 Some of my poetry has recently been published in the online journal Simply Haiku. My work is featured in the current Winter 2009 volume and will also be featured in the upcoming Spring 2010 volume.
