sing over me,
autumn wind-
remind me how to lift my voice
even when the song seems lost in the night

dance over me,
willow branches-
remind me how to move
even when the stillness overtakes me

fly over me,
south-bound birds-
remind me how to look ahead
even when the destinaton seems too distant

pray over me,
faithful friends-
remind me how to trust
even when the storm is raging around me

"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed." -Psalm 107:28-29

  1. Trust Kristin, trust your friends are with you...and the Lord always beholds- Remember that story of the doubtful devotee asking the Lord about the missing footsteps..when He was carrying him in his hands,

Do not know what makes you so weak...and to write this...Faith/Trust- it needs to be strong...testing times go off,

the poem as always was good, Kristin :)

  2. Thank you, Devika. Since Derek leaves on Sundays, Mondays have been a little difficult the last couple of weeks. I guess this was my long-winded way of asking my blog friends for prayer. :) It just helps so much to know that people all over the world are lifting me up!!!

God helps those who helps themselves,

  4. Oh, I know just how you are feeling Kristin.
As I remember those days when my husband was so far away from me in Korea.
But it's wonderful you have your husband home with you on the weekends.
    That is a blessing!
Does he get home every weekend?

I shall keep you in my prayers and I enjoyed your poem very much ... it's lovely!

    Margie:)

  6. Margie, thank you. I've thought of you and your story so many times since you shared it. Yes, he comes home for the weekend and I am SO thankful for that precious time. Thanks for your prayers...they mean so much.

BlueJayEye, thank you also. Your prayers are also very much appreciated and I'm glad that you liked the poem...The Psalmist was quite a poet himself, so it's easy to be inspired when reading the Psalms. :) Thanks for the kind words!
