Hello Kristin Love this (it's lovely!) and I can so relate. My hubby always tells me "come to bed, I sleep better when you are next to me." (He is so sweet!) I tend to stay up too late reading but lately I follow his call and he does sleep better.
Enjoy your time with your husband, Kristin. Happy weekend to both of you!
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.

My husband is home for the weekend. It's so good to feel his warmth again...how I've missed it!!! I will sleep soundly tonight. :)

ReplyDeleteI breathe better
when you're breathing
beside me
no hint of loneliness
in the star-filled sky
A tan renga to start your day.
Aww...thank you Devika.
ReplyDeletePaul...beautiful. Nothing I love more that when my fellow poets respond in verse. :) Makes my heart smile.
