funeral day-
through tears, I see
a single lilly
among the dry grass-
embrace of God...

- I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer,and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. Beautiful!! Very sad! Andy wrote about a funeral as well! Sorry for the loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cindy. It was very sad, but I could see God at work even in the sadness. That's what my poem is about. It's one of those situations where you need to feel God wrap his arms around you and just hold you tight for a little while.
