This is my "morning spot". I sit in my chair and drink my coffee and just spend some quiet time alone with my thoughts and with God. I'm not a morning person, so this is vital...especially on Mondays like today! Psalm 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am God". It is in this stillness and this knowledge that I find the strength necessary to face whatever the day or week holds for me.
I so relate, Kristin :) but with certain differences...I am more of a morning person, and essentially a tea drinker,
Yes, identifying with God, knowing the God within is the only effective way to carry ourselves through...life can't stop before death, and we need strength, above all inner strength....
certain days are so demanding....even i was stressed a bit too much today...then evening I had to take time off :)
I write so much...if its boring, please feel free to tell me...i am more often alone at home ...and sometimes just let out all my thoughts at blogs :)
Yes being still has always always helped me with the mind morning cobwebs and I'm a morning person lol beautifully said, and I love the spot you chose :)
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.
