I realized today that it is less than a month until my husband leaves for the police academy. I am going to miss him terribly. I will be writing some sad, lonely poetry come late September...
Very nice Kristin:) My husband badly wants me to write sad poetry about him....I just laugh and the write the saddest lines for him! :)
writing often comes so easily to me, though i can't say its of good quality always....I am sad, for some reason I just can't make out....a romantic is often so, i guess
Kristin, i never doubted your candidness, i was only saying about myself,
and that doesn't also mean i never write from my heart...I have a heart and it feels, and I write that too...I only meant, if needed, I can just 'play' with words and bring the mood,
I have had a passion for the written word, especially poetry, from an early age. I am first and foremost a child of God-a thankful recipient of His grace. I am also a mother, a teacher, a singer, and an overall music lover. I call the beautiful southern United States home, and growing up and raising my family here has shaped who I am in many ways. I believe that life- with its various emotions, experiences, trials, and joys-is a gift from my Heavenly Father. As a poet, I hope that my work expresses this.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." -Psalm 62:1
Some of my poetry has been published in the online journals Simply Haiku and Notes from the Gean.
